The floor is made from a material called Foamex. Its a pvc that can be scored quite easily with a sharp object like the point of a nail. I then painted it with a dark wash, bluey grey wash, and then dry brushed it white. Then I dusted the whole thing with plaster powder to give it a dusty look.
Ill try to find the pics I had of the making of the puppets and do a full post about how I made them.
